Milk & Froth Ice Cream Shop
Detroit, MI

In a collaboration with New York-based project designer, Dash Marshall, Amy Baker Architect provided code review and project oversight as the Architect of Record for the interior build-out of an artisanal ice cream shop in downtown Detroit.

Located in Bedrock’s historic Buhl Building, the build-out consists of bright graphics, including a custom typeface used throughout, and thoughtfully conceived details that tie the built-in elements together. Dash Marshall’s playful vision for the space includes a nod to Milk & Froth’s raw ingredients by leaving the walls partially unfinished, with paint dripping down the face of cement board like melting ice cream.
